About the Author
Richard A. Mann received a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a J.D. from Yale Law School. He is professor of Business Law emeritus at the Kenan-Flagler School of Business, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and is past president of the Southeastern Regional Business Law Association. Professor Mann is a member of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, and the North Carolina Bar (inactive). Professor Mann has written extensively on a number of legal topics, including bankruptcy, sales, secured transactions, real property, insurance law, and business associations. He has received the AMERICAN BUSINESS LAW JOURNAL'S award both for the best article and for the best comment and has, in addition, served as a reviewer and staff editor for the publication. Professor Mann is a coauthor of BUSINESS LAW AND THE REGULATION OF BUSINESS (Eleventh Edition), ESSENTIALS OF BUSINESS LAW AND THE LEGAL ENVIRONMENT (Eleventh Edition), and CONTEMPORARY BUSINESS LAW.
Todd Lee grew up on a Cariboo cattle ranch from which comes the inspiration for many of his books. The first in a series of children's stories, "A Horse of His Own", is based on his experiences as a boy. Author of "From California to North 52 Degrees" and "He Saw With Other Eyes" and, the writer has also been widely published in children's publications across North America.

excelent textbook

I enjoyed using this textbook in a Math for Business and economics course I taught last saemester. The strong point was the step by step explanations of how to solve different problems. the exercises and word problems were appropriate and interesting. One complaint: the semester was not long enough to cover the entrie book but that's not the author's fault.
