I found this to be the one book that truly offers information that is helpful as I learn to become an effective principal. The vignettes provide new principasl with "real" examples for each topic.

Platitudes to education, some nice history but book skins and flirts with admin issues. If you know zip about admin, this won't hurt but if have a master's already it is superfluous.

This book is very informative as to the history and essential aspects of becoming a principal, but it is a very dry read.
